A cornerstone of the league’s rebirth, the Ohio Valley Ironmen carry forward the rugged legacy of the original Wheeling Ironmen and the deep football pride of the Ohio Valley.

NORFOLK NEPTUNES

2026 Affiliate Opponent • 2027 Full Member Target

The Norfolk Neptunes bring one of the strongest legacy names from the original Continental Football League back into the conversation. The original Neptunes played in the CoFL from 1966 through 1969 and built a winning identity in the Hampton Roads football market. In 2026, Norfolk will appear as an affiliate opponent while preparing for a full CoFL launch in 2027.

A historic Continental Football League name returns through a select 2026 road slate before launching fully in 2027.

As an affiliated club, Norfolk will compete in Northern Division road matchups while building toward its full home debut next season.

Based in Pflugerville, the Texas Syndicate bring a bold new identity to the CoFL, drawing on the energy, growth, and deep football culture of Central Texas.

SAN ANTONIO

One of the great legacy brands of the original CoFL, the San Antonio Toros return with championship pedigree after reaching the 1969 Continental Cup title game in the league’s final season.

Representing Midland and the heart of West Texas, Tall City Black Gold channel the grit of the oil patch, the pride of Friday night lights, and the toughness of their region.
